Boosted by the 3-hit performance of Marcus Semien, who finished 3rd in the GEO-C in doubles with 43 in 2019, the San Francisco Giants defeated the Boston Red Sox, 10-0. Bryan Woo, the winning pitcher, is now 3-0. He went 6 innings, allowing no runs on 4 hits, while fanning 7 and walking 2. The win gives San Francisco a record of 5-3.

TJ Friedl had a big 2-run home run for the Giants in the bottom of the fourth inning. With San Francisco leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Aaron Civale, who finished 3rd in the GEO-C in innings pitched with 74.0 in 2020, and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 2nd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Giants ahead, 3-0.
