Tucker on Fire, 5-for-6 Against Memphis
Tuesday, May 6th , 2025
It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-6 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Kyle Tucker, it came around today.
The 28-year-old right fielder scattered hits all over Oriole Park at Camden Yards to pace the 13-2 Tampa Bay Rays victory over the Memphis Pharaohs.
Memphis skipper Noah McKinnon told reporters in the press room that "Tucker deserves a hat-tip."
"He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Tucker hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit."
Kyle Tucker singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Collin Snider in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and struck out in the 8th.
This season, Tucker has hit 5 home runs and posted a .378 batting average.
