The Philadelphia Phillies used the hitting of center fielder Michael Siani to subdue the Texas Rangers, 7-6. For the game, Siani went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Philadelphia reliever Brendon Little was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Cody Bradford. Josh Hader got the save, the 2nd for him this season.

Siani contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Philadelphia in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 5-4, Siani took a fastball from Cody Bradford and stroked the home run to left. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Phillies to leap in front, 7-5.

"We'll take this win and move on," said Siani.

The Phillies, now 2-0, have hit the ground running this season.
