Royals Improve to 8-6 with 5-2 Win
|
The Kansas City Royals beat the Texas Rangers, 5-2. Kansas City pitcher and Bellevue, Nebraska, native Cade Povich led the way. Jason Adam closed the game out for Kansas City, earning his 4th save. Kansas City now has a record of 8-6 with the win.
Grant Koch had a big 3-run home run for the Royals in the bottom of the second inning. With Kansas City trailing 2-1 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he sized up a slider from 27-year old left-handed pitcher Cody Bradford and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Royals on top, 4-2.
"I still think this team can play even better," Koch told the Kansas City Citizen.
