Carroll Helps Seattle Cruise to 10-3 Win
|
Soggy conditions did not keep Seattle and Minnesota from playing their scheduled game.
The Seattle Mariners coasted to a win over the Minnesota Twins, 10-3. Corbin Carroll had a good day at the plate for Seattle. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. Seattle is off to a hot start at 2-1.
With Seattle leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Carroll hit a 2-run single off Minnesota hurler Louie Varland. It was the 6th hit of the season for Carroll and put his team ahead, 3-0.
"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Carroll.
