Atlanta right fielder Lawrence Butler was a significant contributor in his team's 13-1 triumph over the Minnesota Twins. He hit 2 home runs, while scoring 4 and driving in 2 for the Braves. Atlanta reliever Clarke Schmidt picked up the win, raising his record to 2-0. Louie Varland was tagged with the loss. Atlanta goes to 3-3.

Gunnar Henderson had a big 2-run home run for the Braves in the bottom of the third inning. With Atlanta leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 27-year old right-handed pitcher Louie Varland and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Braves on top, 3-0.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Butler.
