Seattle Gets 6-4 Win Against Angels
|
Michael Conforto was a major factor in the 6-4 Seattle win over Los Angeles. The Mariners designated hitter was 2-3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Blake Snell earned the win for Seattle. He lasted 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 9. With the win, he raised his record to 1-0. Ryan Walker nailed down his 1st save.
Seattle grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Conforto hit a solo home run off Paul Skenes. His 1st home run of the season put the Mariners out in front, 3-2.
"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Conforto, "one at-bat at a time."
Los Angeles, with the loss, is still a hardy 3-1.
